De Leon Consulting (DLC) was founded in 2009 by our founder Dr. Juan De Leon Jr., Ph.D. DLC provides concise, timely, and practical solutions for educational and organizational needs, backed by over 20 years of combined real-world experience in secondary and higher education school settings.

Navigating and negotiating knowledge systems and world views along his educational path allowed Dr. De Leon to understand the complexities facing students of color in their pursuit of higher education degrees.

Dr. De Leon developed a firm desire to assist other students in achieving their educational aspirations. His early graduate work centered on developing leadership programs at two major universities in the Pacific Northwest. The successes observed by students he helped mentor led to a more refined research agenda focused on investigating differing world views in education and ultimately to his research in Identity and its effect on retention and graduation of students in higher education.

DLC is a consulting firm that aims to share much of the expertise gained by Dr. De Leon from helping students navigate the maze of higher education.

DLC’s mission is to help students achieve success in education and help educators and administrators establish meaningful programs to help educate and retain their students in school. To this end, DLC offers various educational and administrative consultation services for students (Tutoring and Mentoring) and Educators (Teacher Training Workshops, Data Analysis Training, Retention and Recruitment Consultation, and E-learning content development).

DLC also offers other services to local area businesses outside the education emphasis. These services include web and graphic design, web- hosting.
